FAKTOR RESIKO KEJADIAN DIABETES MELITUS DIWILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PAMENANG DI KABUPATEN MERANGIN TAHUN 2021

Abstract

Background:The international diabetes federation states that the prevalence of diabetes is estimated to increase as the population ages to 19.9% or 111.2 million people aged 65-79 years. The figure is predicted will be increasing to 578 million in 2030 or 700 million in 2045.In countries – Arab, North Africa, and the West Pacific, they are ranked first and second with the highest prevalence in the world, namely 12.2% and 11.4. % then in America is 4.7%. Diabetes mellitus is one of the health problems in Indonesia, as well in Merangin Regency. The number people with diabetes mellitus in 2019 was 17,150 people, in 2020 increased17,399 people. In 2019, public health centre with the highest diabetes mellituspatient by people is Pamenang‟spublic health centre- 1,521 people and it did not increase in 2020.

Research method:Research used a quantitative analytic survey with a cross sectional design. The research was conducted at Public health centre Pamenangin Merangin Regency 2021 Year. The population in this study were patients who went to public health centre in Pamenang. The sample was collected using the slovin formula and obtained a sample of 94 respondents. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate.

Results: The results showed that significant link between family history for diabetes mellitus, it used x2 count (15,915) > x2 table (3,841). There was a significant association of dietary pattern and diabetes mellitus, it used x 2 count (4,044) > x2 table (3,841) and there wasn‟t association of physical activity with diabetes mellitus.

Conclusion:There is a significant link between family history and dietary pattern for diabetes mellitus and there is no significant association between physical activity and risk factors for diabetes mellitus at public health centre in MeranginRegency 2021 year
