ANALISIS HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP DENGAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT PASIEN HIPERTENSI DIWILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KEDERASAN PANJANG KECAMATAN BATANG MASUMAI KABUPATEN MERANGIN TAHUN 2020

Abstract

Abstract

               Compliance with treatment of hypertension patients is important because hypertension is a disease that cannot be cured but must always be controlled or controlled so that complications do not occur which can lead to death. The World Health Organization (WHO, 2012), explains that hypertension contributes to nearly 9.4 million deaths from cardiovascular disease every year. The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia based on blood pressure measurements in people aged 18 years and over in a number of areas has reached 31.7% of the total adult population. Based on the report from the Kederasan Panjang Health Center, long visits for hypertension in 2019 were 1,213 cases, while new visits from January-May were 119 cases. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with medication adherence of hypertension patients at the Kederasan Panjang Public Health Center, Batang Masumai District, Merangin Regency in 2020. This type of research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The population and sample are 71 respondents. Data collected through questionnaires Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using Chi-Square test. It was found that more respondents were not compliant in taking hypertension medication, namely 44 (81%),  had less knowledge in taking hypertension medication as many as 52 (96%), with a positive attitude as many as 36 (67%}. Compliance of hypertensive patients in taking medication, which has a relationship with patient compliance, namely knowledge and attitudes.
