HUBUNGAN KONDISI LINGKUNGAN RUMAH PENDUDUK DENGAN KEJADIAN PENYAKIT ISPA PADA BALITA DI DESA TANJUNG ILIR WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS RANTAU PANJANG

Abstract

Background: The 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) showed that there were 877,531 cases of ARI in Indonesia. The number in Jambi Province was 11,588 cases. The prevalence of ARI in toddlers was 4.8%. Meanwhile, the prevalence of ARI in toddlers in Jambi Province was 1.5% (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2024).

Research Method: This study employed a quantitative, observational analytical method, aimed at determining and explaining the relationship between variables. The research design used was a cross-sectional study, emphasizing a single measurement, with both the independent and dependent variables measured simultaneously (Nursalam, 2018).

Research Results: The results showed that out of 90 respondents, the majority had experienced ARI (59 people (65.6%), and the majority had adequate ventilation (57 people (63.3%). Of the 90 respondents, the majority had adequate ventilation, with 58 people (64.4%), and the majority had adequate occupancy density, with 57 people (63.3%).

Conclusion: The community understands that maintaining and paying attention to the physical environment of the home is crucial, especially for families with young children.
