Background: The high incidence of cervical cancer is due to the low participation of women in early detection. According to the Indonesian Health Profile, the percentage of women of childbearing age (WUS) who underwent Visual Acetic Acid Infection (IVA) examination from 2014-2018 was 2,747,662 people or 7.34%, and positive IVA was found in 77,969 people or 2.83% . The number of early detection examination coverage is still very far from the target set by the government of 80% of the entire female population (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2021).
Research method: This type of research is analytical research with a cross-sectional design. The sample in this research was taken using a Systematic Random Sampling technique totaling 100 people. This research was analyzed univariately and bivariately.
Results: of the 100 respondents studied, it was found that the majority of 84 (84%) respondents did not carry out the IVA Test examination, the majority had good knowledge about the IVA Test examination and 81 (81%) respondents had poor knowledge about the IVA Test examination , and the majority of 66 (66%) respondents had a negative attitude towards the IVA Test.
Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge and attitude and the IVA Test, so it is recommended to increase the capacity of early detection services for cervical cancer at Community Health Centers so that prevention of cervical cancer can be implemented more optimally and increase the socialization of efforts to prevent cervical cancer.
