FAKTOR-FAKTOR HIGIENE SANITASI DENGAN KONTAMINASI BAKTERI COLIFOM PADA DEPOT AIR MINUM ISI ULANG DI KELURAHAN PEMATANG KANDIS TAHUN 2024

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia, the water needed daily is regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010 concerning the requirements for the quality of drinking water which is declared safe for health if it meets the physical, microbiological, and chemical requirements contained in the mandatory parameters and additional parameters. The standard quality of drinking water in Indonesia has been regulated according to the Indonesian National Standard No.  SNI 01-3553- 2006 Ministry of Industry and Trade which states that the maximum limit of Ecoli bacteria is 0 in 100 ml of drinking water. Ecoli bacteria are bacteria that act as indicators to determine the quality of food and water sanitation

Research Method: The research design used is observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach where researchers will conduct observations or measurements of independent and dependent variables at the same time (period).

Research Results Based on the results of the study, it shows that out of 24 depots that do not meet the requirements if bacterial colonies are found, there are 12 (92.3%) depots, and depots that do not meet the requirements but no bacterial colonies are found are 1 (7.7%). While depots that meet the requirements but bacterial colonies are found are 3 (27.3%), depots that meet the requirements and no bacterial colonies are found are 8 (72.7%), Drinking Water Treatment Facilities that do not meet the requirements if bacterial colonies are found are 10 (90.9%) depots, and depots that do not meet the requirements but no bacterial colonies are found are 1 (9.1%).  Meanwhile, depots that meet the requirements but found bacterial colonies were 5 (38.5%), and depots that meet the requirements but did not find bacterial colonies were 9 (37.5%).

Conclusion: The local government is expected to re-register depots that have not been registered with the Merangin Regional Health Lab, Enforce regional regulations to take strict action against depot managers who do not meet health requirements to protect consumers. The Merangin Regional Health Lab is expected to provide direct technical training and counseling to workers at each depot.
