DETERMINAN FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN PREEKLAMPSIA BERAT PADA IBU BERSALIN DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH KOLONEL ABUNDJANI BANGKO TAHUN 2022

Abstract

Severe preeclampsia is one of the causes of maternal and infant mortality in Indonesia. The incidence of preeclampsia in developing countries is approximately seven times higher than in developed countries. Preeclampsia affects 5-8% of all pregnancies, and causes many complications in the mother and fetus so that 50,000 women worldwide die from preeclampsia and its complications each year. Based on the latest data obtained from the routine report on Maternal and Child Health in 2020, it was reported that preeclampsia eclampsia is the second leading cause of maternal death in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of factors related to the incidence of severe preeclampsia at the Colonel Abundjani Bangko Regional General Hospital in 2022. This study is an analytical study with a case-control design. The sample in this study was 96 mothers in labor consisting of 48 cases and 48 controls. Sampling was carried out using the matching technique using the age variable. Data collection was carried out by taking medical record data. Data processing was carried out using SPSS version 25. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between parity and the incidence of severe preeclampsia (P value 0.08) and there was no relationship between pregnancy spacing and the incidence of severe preeclampsia (P value 0.316. It is hoped that health workers in primary care will be able to detect early occurrences of preeclampsia.
