Abstract

Background: Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) are one of the main indicators of a country's health status. Many factors cause PROM to occur, one of which is the mother's factor (age and parity). Based on RSD data. Colonel Abundjani Bangko in 2013 found PROM incidents of (6.0%), increased in 2014 by (12.31%), and in 2015 there were PROM incidents of (15.51%).

Research Methods: This type of analytic research with a case control study design. The research location was at Colonel Abundjani Hospital Bangko which was carried out in August 2016. This research was conducted on 252 respondents consisting of 126 respondents in the case group and 126 respondents in the control group. The instrument used is the Reduplication List. Data. This study was analyzed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis

Results: The results of the univariate analysis showed that out of 126 respondents (case group) it was found that the majority of mothers had an age not at risk of (80.95%) and had parity at risk of (57.14%). And based on the results of statistical tests with α 0.05, X2 count is 2.24, which is smaller than X2 table 3.841, which means that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, so there is no significant relationship between age and the incidence of PROM.
